5 School Lunch Combos Kids Will Love

At schools, there are 4 kinds of lunches,

  1. The “Health Nut” (Quinoa, hemp, kale, etc.)
  2. The “Bought Lunch” (Cafeteria food like chicken nuggets)
  3. The “Good” lunches (Pasta, cool sandwiches, dessert)
  4. The “Average Joe” lunch (sandwich and chips)

  1. Bananarama

Consists of

  • Banana and honey on soft whole wheat bread
  • Baby carrots and/or cucumber slices
  • A cheese stick
  • A piece of chocolate

2. The Haminator

Consists of

  • Ham and cheddar on sourdough
  • Bell pepper slices
  • Apple slices with peanut butter (If peanut butter isn’t allowed, sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar on the apples instead)

Consists of

  • Turkey and Swiss Panini
  • A Clementine
  • Blanched sugar snap peas (See my guide to blanching)
  • Fruit Rollup

 

4. Perfect Pasta

Consists of

  • Pasta with butter or tomato sauce
  • Steamed broccoli
  • Cheese stick
  • Dried fruit

 

5. Mac n’ Cheesy

Consists of

  • Mac n’ Cheese
  • Any vegetables
  • A pear
